Anoa mindorensis, the tamaraw. It was a little sad to spy this extremely rare specimen in the dark storage area at the 5th floor of the National Museum. But at the rate they’re fixing things, it’s likely they’ll rehabilitate and display it properly someday soon. This is my last museum post for the day. But please do visit the National Museum. It’s still a bit rough around the edges, but the buildings and the collection are rich and phenomenal. And Sundays are free! (at National Museum of the Philippines (Pambansang Museo ng Pilipinas))
